Monthly Membership Meetings

Membership meetings are hosted by RMOA members and are held on the first Saturday of the month (except for July, August, & December).  Guest speakers are invited to provide information that is beneficial to our members.

Business Roundtable Forum

The RBA Business Roundtable Forum provides an opportunity for business, military and government leaders to discuss upcoming programs for which industry can provide expertise and support; and to share timely, action-oriented information to the business, government and veteran communities. The Series brings high level speakers from government and industry to discuss topics of current interest to the business community, military and government retirees, and other veterans. Speakers are invited to speak in one or more of three primary topic areas: Current and future business innovations, government programs and acquisition plans; Military preparedness; and Veteran's affairs (Wounded Warriors, Benefits and Veteran-Owned Business).

Annual Family & Friends Picnic

RMOA sponsors and annual picnic which is its social event of the year.  The picnic gives members and the families and opportunity to "get to know" each other in a relaxed environment.

Annual Ted Adams Memorial Golf Tournament

The Ted Adams Memorial Golf Tournament was started in June 2011 in memory of LTC (Ret.)Theodore A. Adams LLD.  This event is fundraiser for the RMOA Business Institute, which provides education and mentorship for military personnel transitioning from the military to entrepreneurship.

Dr. Adams was also founder of RMOA, an organization he proudly supported until the time of his passing in 2003. He legacy may be found in the outstanding organizations and hundreds of women and minority owned businesses he helped start through his work with the late Congressman Parren J. Mitchell in passing legislation that resulted in the 8(a) Program. A program that has literally changed the landscape of business not only in the US, but throughout the world.

RMOA Constellation Awards Gala

The RMOA Business Association (RBA) was founded by a group of retired military officers who sought to create synergy amongst its members by leveraging their collective leadership service, business, and life experiences to enhance business and continued opportunities for each other following their military service.  RBA has grown and expanded to embrace all military and private sector business leaders who value the experience of our Veterans.

With more than 100 members who represent a broad spectrum of service to businesses and community, RBA has contributed significantly to reaching out to members who seek to continue to serve.  Accordingly, we have established the annual RBA Gala Awards Program to recognize standout achievers in RBA and in the business and the community.

The focus of the Awards Gala is to honor personal and organizational excellence of those who have contributed to sustain support for our Veterans’ focused goals, with a particular spotlight on Service-Disabled Veteran issues.

RBA members’ stories of service and heroism are the fabric of American history, and their contributions to posterity represent the best the nation has to offer. Through the RMOA Business Institute (RBI), we have created a vehicle for entrepreneurs to hitch their wagon to experienced RMOA business owners who volunteer to mentor their new businesses to fruition; there is no classroom substitute for that experience.

To recognize those heroes who have achieved distinction in service, business and life RBA holds an Annual Awards Gala to recognize dedicated members and other organizations who have excelled in upholding the principles of Heroes in Service, Heroes in Business, and Heroes in Life.  Amongst a group of men and women to whom we say “Thank you for your service”, these awardees stand out.
